unit 2 refelection

Reflection for unit 2 

 I learned in this unit about pop cultural I felt like we went deeper to know more about cultural. I learned how every decade has different thing like in 80’s, 90’s,2000 and 2010 how every decade has different fads, events, people and how there is trends that stays for a long time. Pop cultural is basically Hollywood It's how celebrities, musician and artiest are shown, so that’s what is pop culture. Language is really an important part in pop cultural because it has an important social function between people. Language is important because it helps us to communicate with each other and it make it easier to us, so that’s why we consider language as a part of our cultural. In pop culture we share attitudes, beliefs, values and traditions with people. Also, we have forms of pop culture such as, Music, arts, fashion...etc. My Aha moment when I learned about the fads and trends especially in English, I don’t have enough information about it and in this unit I'm able to know more about it and have enough information. When we made the presentation about the pop star, I didn’t know a lot of information about my favorite singer, but after that I know a lot about him and that’s made me love him more.

New Visual Project and Course Reflection

    In this course I have learned a lot . I learned about culture and pop culture which is I don't know a lot about this before I register in this course and I learned what is the different between culture and pop culture. Pop culture is usually distinguished from folk and high culture. POP CULTURE is like fad , fashion, TV etc.. Culture is the collective programming of the mind culture is us culture is learned norms and values are learned in childhood they can be collective or individual. Also we have levels for culture 1- universal 2- national 30. interpersonal 4- personal.
